Our Continued Commitment to Environmental & Racial Justice

Faith in Place

During this challenging week, we share with you November's reflection from our team. Please read it below and sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date on upcoming events.

This election season has been one of intense emotions for many of us—filled with moments of hope, yet underscored by frustration and concerns about our future. We recognize the pain, fear, and uncertainty that some may be feeling right now. Yet, in these times, we cannot lose hope. Faith in Place remains steadfast in our commitment to environmental and racial justice, knowing that, together, we can create a better future for all.

Over the past months, we’ve seen our community come alive, from the powerful conversations at our AES Summit, to knocking on more than 300 doors and sending over 40,000 texts to engage voters. This work shows what we are capable of when we stand united.

As people of faith, we are called to care for and uplift each other in the fight for justice. Now, more than ever, we need each other. As we draw together again, we want to share this wisdom from Lama Rod Owens, keynote speaker at our Summit in September, which comes from his book Love and Rage: The Path of Liberation through Anger.

“There’s something about our identity as activists that is so closely related to the anger that we experience. What would it look like if we formed our activist communities around joy, not the suffering or the anger, as a basis for our change work?” ― Lama Rod Owens

Thank you for your dedication. Let’s continue this crucial work, hand in hand.
