New Lake County Outreach Director: Celeste Flores
You may remember that Susana Figueroa transitioned to a part time role with Faith in Place in August. Read more about the transition here.
To build on Susana's excellent work, I'm excited to announce that Celeste Flores is the new Lake County Outreach Director of Faith in Place!
Celeste Flores was born and raised in Lake County, Illinois and has been a lifelong member of Most Blessed Trinity Parish in Waukegan.
Celeste’s work with front line community members as an organizer for Clean Power Lake County has drawn national attention to the environmental injustices associated with a fossil fuel economy.
She has built strong relationships with varied coalition partners and elected officials, and has continually championed the need for a sensible transition plan to move Waukegan toward a clean and sustainable energy future.
Celeste is excited to begin working with Lake County faith communities and start planning events for this autumn.
