What Are Green Teams?

​

Green Teams are groups of 3 or more people from a House of Worship who provide leadership to educate, connect, and advocate for healthier communities. Green Teams meet regularly to connect your faith community’s spiritual practices and traditions with solutions for climate change and other environmental justice issues. Green Teams educate their members, motivate their faith community to incorporate environmental consciousness into all activities, and celebrate accomplishments.

 

What Does Faith in Place Provide Green Teams?

Faith in Place Outreach Staff collaborate closely with the Green Team to implement our programs. Once you sign up to establish a Green Team, Faith in Place will assign you a dedicated Green Team Coach. This coach will offer ongoing support on a monthly basis, ensuring you're well-informed about local programs and Earth care opportunities. They will proactively reach out to you at least twice a month and make an effort to attend your meetings and events based on their availability. These coaches can assist you in setting goals and connecting you to valuable resources, all at no cost to you.

What Does It Cost to Create a Green Team?

Faith in Place will provide Green Team coaching and access to resources and programs at no cost to your House of Worship. Additionally, we will try to connect Green Team with funding opportunities available in their areas.

How Do I Create a Green Team?

​

When you and at least two others at your House of Worship are interested in creating a Green Team, we invite you to complete our Green Team application and we will connect your with a Green Team coach in your area.
