Common Ground: Community Candidate Conversations for Indiana 8th Congressional District
Common Ground: Community Candidate Conversations is a nonpartisan voter education initiative hosted by Faith in Place Indiana that creates opportunities for community members to engage directly with candidates in respectful, solutions-focused conversations.
Candidate Mary Allen, who is running for Indiana's 8th Congressional District, will join us. Incumbent Mark Messmer did not respond to the invitation.
Through virtual forums, candidates discuss issues consistently identified by Hoosiers—including utility affordability, energy and infrastructure, water quality, environmental responsibility, public health, and civic leadership—while sharing their vision for public service. The program aims to strengthen civic participation, increase voter engagement, and foster meaningful dialogue across political and ideological differences.
