Chicago Green Teams Regional Gathering
1100 E 55th St. Chicago, IL 60615

Our Green Teams with Faith in Place are part of over thirty years of organizing. Join us to hear from Xander King for my MDiv thesis at the University of Chicago. He spoke with Chicago Green Teams to explore how denominational resources and guidebooks inform congregational action. Come learn from the history of environmental action in four congregations and discuss how we can make our future work more visible to our communities, more sustainable for our members, and more connected to other Green Teams!

Xander King is a third-year MDiv student at the University of Chicago Divinity School pursuing ordination in the United Church of Christ. Outside of class, he is a birdwatcher and gardener. King worked with Faith in Place to help start a Green Team at their church, Bethany UCC last year. He was so inspired and challenged by the organizing work that he wanted to center my thesis on learning from other Green Teams in the Chicago area and contributing to our shared goal of caring for creation.
