About the event

Join Faith in Place and the Lutheran Office for Public Policy in Wisconsin's day of action to advocate for hunger relief, climate justice, and clean water in the Wisconsin State Budget! After our morning of preparation, we'll visit our State Senators and Representatives at the Wisconsin State Capitol.

The event will feature an exciting Keynote Speaker: WKOW-TV Senior Chief Meteorologist Bob Lindmeier!

Additional speakers will include staff from Renew Wisconsin and other local experts on hunger, climate, and water in Wisconsin. You'll also have the chance to hear from legislators to get tips on how to speak to your elected officials.

Agenda:

  • 9:30 AM: Register at First United Methodist Church in Madison
  • 10:00 AM: Program and small group preparations to visit our legislators
  • Noon: Lunch will be served
  • 1:00 PM: Visit with State Senators
  • 1:40 PM: Visit with State Representatives
  • Debrief is available any time after your visit is complete!
