Faith in Place recently learned that an employee was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. First and foremost, we condemn any misconduct of this nature and do not have any information beyond the fact of his arrest and pending charges. We recognize the seriousness of these charges and are committed to handling this matter with transparency and accountability. Upon learning of the charges, this employee was placed on indefinite leave and is no longer active in any role at our organization.

We have not been contacted by law enforcement. However, if the authorities do reach out, we will cooperate fully with law enforcement.

As a business working with faith-based organizations, we are guided by our values of compassion, accountability, and integrity. The safety of the communities we serve, as well as our employees, is a fundamental responsibility we uphold with the highest priority. Our hiring and employment practices follow legal requirements, including youth and safety training and annual background checks. This employee cleared all required training and annual background checks.

We have reached out to individuals and groups affiliated with this employee to provide resources and support. This is an ongoing legal matter, and we are not able to share additional details at this time.

We remain dedicated to upholding rigorous safeguards, and will continue to assess our practices to ensure they reflect both legal standards and our organizational values. Although we had no indication of wrongdoing by this individual in connection with Faith in Place, we proactively worked with outside legal counsel to perform a voluntary, thorough internal investigation. The investigation did not reveal any wrongdoing or misconduct by the employee in connection with their employment at Faith in Place. The investigation also did not reveal that Faith in Place had knowledge of any wrongdoing or misconduct before this individual’s arrest.
