“Peace be to earth and to airy space! Peace be to heaven, peace to the waters, peace to the plant and peace to the trees!... With this peace the dreadful I now appease, with this peace the cruel I now appease, with this peace all evil I now appease, so that peace may prevail, happiness prevail! ” ~Atharva Veda XIX

This workshop is all about policy! Policy issues nationally and at the state level are going to be front and center in the environmental conversation in 2008 and this workshop will get your congregation ready to address them. We'll have a plenary overview from Rebecca Stanfield, Director of Environment Illinois, and then several breakout options so you can feel confident in approaching your representatives. We'll be at the brand new LEED-rated Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation in Evanston, too, so arrive in time to take the tour at 2:30.

And don't forget to put Tuesday, April 2 on your calendar for our second annual trip to Springfield. We'll put all this learning into action. Look at our calendar for more details.
