upcoming events : Fall Nature Outing to Kickapoo Woods
“Your Guardian-Lord Is God, who created the heavens and the earth in six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of authority). He draweth the night as a veil o’er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession. He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, all governed by laws under His Command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be God, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds!” ~Quran S. VII, v. 54

The cooler tempertures, shorter days and changing leaves are all reminders that fall is here. Are you ready to be outside learning about conservation and story telling?
Join us for a day of exploration and conservation in our forest preserves to enjoy the scenic beauty of Kickapoo Woods! Located in Riverdale next to the Little Calmut River, Kickapoo Woods is a great place for recreation, leisure, and learning about wet prairie and savana habitat restoration.
